Skydiving jump Bielsko-Biała

In a straight line from Bielsko-Biała to Gliwice-Trynek airport it is about 57 km, and by road — depending on the chosen route and traffic — usually just over an hour’s drive. It is best to leave in the morning: free parking awaits on site, and by evening you will have time for the jump and the return to the Beskids. No prior preparation is needed — before the jump you go through a short briefing, and in the air everything is handled by a licensed tandem instructor to whom you are strapped. The tandem set has a main and reserve parachute as well as an automatic activation device (AAD). From 4000 m you freefall for about 60 seconds, then the instructor opens the parachute and for about 5 minutes you fly under the canopy until landing at the airport. Jumps in Gliwice take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — in season from eight in the morning until sunset. A tandem there costs from 979 zł for Friday and 999 zł for Saturday or Sunday (according to the current price list). Plan 2–4 hours at the airport, and dress in layers: a thin sweatshirt and long pants under the jumpsuit, and on your feet full, lace-up shoes — the temperature drops by about 6°C for every kilometer of altitude.
