The AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) course is training after which you jump on your own — without an instructor attached in tandem. It is a completely different level than a one-time tandem jump, and naturally a different cost. We explain what this price comes from.
What makes up the price of an AFF course
The course price is not one number "for everything" — it consists of several stages:
- **Theoretical training** — the basics: equipment, safety procedures, emergency situations. Without this, you will not get on the plane.
- **Jumps with instructors** — for the first levels you jump with two instructors who fly beside you in freefall.
- **Subsequent levels** — with each jump there are fewer instructors, until you jump independently.
- **Equipment and flight** — during the course you use the school’s equipment.
Why the course costs more than a tandem jump
In tandem, you pay for one experience with an instructor. In AFF, you pay for real training: the time of two instructors per jump, multiple ascents to altitude, and equipment. It is an investment in a skill, not a single jump.
What to pay attention to when choosing a course
- Whether the price includes theoretical training or whether it is charged separately.
- How many jumps are included in a given level and what happens if a level has to be repeated.
- Whether equipment is included for the duration of the course.
