Jumper during AFF course

The AFF course is the fastest way to start jumping independently. Instead of jumping attached to an instructor, from the first jump you have your own parachute — and instructors assist you in the air. Here's how it looks.

Where it starts — theory

The course starts with ground training: safety rules, equipment handling, freefall position, emergency procedures, and landing. Without passing the theory, you don't go airborne.

Levels 1–7 — what you do in the air

The course is divided into successive levels (usually from 1 to 7). With each level, you take more control:

  • Initial levels — two instructors hold you in freefall, you learn stable position and independent opening.
  • Middle levels — one instructor, you start turns, movements, and direction control.
  • Higher levels — jumps with distance from the instructor, independent maneuvers, and landing according to plan.

How long it takes

The time depends on you and the weather. Some students complete the course in a few intensive days, others spread it over a season. The start always depends on conditions — safety is paramount.

What you get at the end

After completing all levels, you can perform a jump independently and are ready for further development towards a jumper's license. This is just the beginning — but from this moment you jump on your own.

What you need to start

You don't need experience or your own equipment — just good health and willingness. We provide the rest at the zone.
